Privacy Policy

ScholarsEye is run by Mandla Labs ("we"). This policy explains what happens to your document and your data. In short: your uploaded file is never stored, your report is private and deleted after 30 days, and nothing you upload is used to train AI.

What we collect and why

• Your uploaded file. We read it in memory to extract the text. The file itself is never written to disk and is discarded as soon as the text is extracted.
• The extracted text and your report. We store these so you can open your report at its private link. They are deleted automatically 30 days after upload, or immediately when you click Delete report.
• Details you give us. The document type and subject you choose, and your email address if you provide one, so we can send your receipt or answer you.
• Payment details. Payments are handled by Razorpay (India) or Stripe (international). We receive a payment confirmation, never your card, UPI or bank details.
• Technical data. Your IP address is held in memory for up to one hour to stop abuse of the upload limit. Our hosting providers keep standard security logs.

We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. Your browser stores only small preferences, such as your chosen currency.

Who processes your data

• Anthropic (Claude): flagged passages are sent to generate writing guidance. Under Anthropic's commercial terms, this data is not used to train their models.
• Crossref and OpenAlex: the text of each reference is looked up to check that the cited work exists.
• Cloudflare (network and security) and Oracle Cloud (server hosting).
• Razorpay and Stripe (payments).

We never sell your data or add your document to any plagiarism or detection database.

Your rights

You can delete your report at any time from the report page. You can also ask us to access, correct or delete any personal data we hold about you, under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and, where it applies, the GDPR. Write to [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days.
